The election season for Thursday Network has officially begun. This page includes all pertinent information for anyone aiming to run for Thursday Network office for the 2020-2021 term.

Absentee Voting

Click here to access the absentee ballot request form. Absentee ballots will be sent to members in good standing for voting during the absentee voting period on August 20 between 6 a.m. ET and 6 p.m. ET.

Election timeline

  • July 11 - 17: Electronic Nominations Period. (self-nominations accepted)
  • July 23: Floor nominations at July General Body meeting
  • July 31: Last Day for Candidates to pay dues to be eligible for election.
  • August 3- 11: Candidate Declaration Application period  
  • August 13, 7 p.m. ET: Mandatory Candidates Meeting for all current Executive Board members and candidates. Rules are distributed and discussed with all candidates. 
  • August 14: Candidate Slate finalized and presented to GWUL CEO for verification. Campaigning Begins.
  • August 19, 6 p.m. ET: Meet and Greet Candidate Mixer @ 6:00 p.m. ET
  • August 20, 6 a.m. ET - 6 p.m. ET: Absentee voting opens at 6:00 a.m. ET; closes at 6:00 p.m. ET 
  • August 20, 7 p.m. ET : Candidate Session + Elections General Body Meeting @ 7:00 p.m. ET; electronic voting at 8:00 p.m. ET, and results announced 
  • September 3: Joint Executive Leadership Council (ELC) Meeting with the 2019-2020 ELC and newly elected 2020-2021 ELC.
