Kellye Beathea: Advocacy Committee

Kellye E. Beathea is an award-winning communications strategist, legal analyst, and public affairs professional with over a decade of experience spanning municipal government, health and human services, public policy, and political campaigns. She currently serves as the Director of Communications for the City of District Heights, Maryland, where she leads citywide rebranding, media relations, strategic messaging, and crisis response.

Kellye is the founder of KB Consulting, a boutique communications consultancy, and has developed campaign strategies and creative content for clients such as the CDC, USDA, and Department of Energy. Her insight and messaging expertise have been featured on platforms such as Roland Martin Unfiltered, The Mike & Donny Show, and the Maryland Daily Record. She previously served as a legislative aide at Women in Government and interned with the late Congressman Elijah Cummings, grounding her communications approach in equity and public service.

Kellye holds a J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law and a B.S. in Communications from Bowie State University (magna cum laude). With a distinctive voice at the intersection of law, media, and strategy, she continues to advise leaders, advocate for inclusive storytelling, and shape public narratives that drive change.

Jasmine Colquitt: Governance Committee

Jasmine Colquitt serves as Corporate Counsel at the fintech company Jack Henry & Associates. Prior to joining Jack Henry, she worked at Deloitte in their Government and Public Services (GPS) Practice, most recently as a Lead Contracts Administrator.

Jasmine is originally from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds both a Juris Doctor and a Master of Business Administration from North Carolina Central University.

She currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Greater Washington Urban League. Jasmine has been a member of Thursday Network since February 2022, and she previously served as Parliamentarian of Thursday Network during the 2023–2024 term. She also serves as Chair of the Young Lawyers Division of the Washington Bar Association and is a member of the Board of Directors for Change Machine, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building financial security for low-income communities through people-powered technology. 

In her free time, she enjoys running and visiting art museums.


BradRick Levy: Development Committee

BradRick JoS Levy is a dynamic communicator, educator, policy strategist, and advocate for equity and inclusion. BradRick is a native of Lake Charles, Louisiana and holds a PhD in Policy Administration from Southern University A&M College. In 2025, BradRick was honored as the 2025 Top College Researcher for his groundbreaking work in workplace equity and public policy. With over ten years of experience in human resources, education, and corporate leadership, BradRick specializes in program development, strategic communication, and community engagement.

BradRick's background uniquely positions him to support Thursday Network and the Urban League’s mission to uplift and empower Black communities. From leading recruitment and training initiatives to driving policy research and coordinating impactful events, he brings vision, versatility, and purpose to every endeavor. BrandRick is here to build bridges, spark dialogue, and help create a future rooted in access, opportunity, and justice.


Harper Matthews: Governance Committee

Harper Matthews is a seasoned talent professional with a passion for developing early-career talent and building pathways to opportunity. A two-time graduate of Pepperdine University, with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s in Education, Harper began her career in higher education where she spent nearly a decade championing student success. Now, as a university recruiter at McKinsey & Company, she applies her expertise to identifying and cultivating the next generation of business leaders.

Beyond her professional work, Harper is also a dedicated leader within the Urban League Movement, having served two terms as Membership Chair for Thursday Network and most recently as the National Membership Services Chair for the National Urban League Young Professionals. She is passionate about volunteering in spaces that empower women, advocate for youth, and advance communities of color—bringing her strengths in recruitment, retention, and community building to amplify their impact


Monique Toussaint: Advocacy Committee 

Dr. Monique S. Toussaint is a Senior Advisor for the White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity for Black Americans where she leads programming, shapes strategy, and drives innovation to improve educational outcomes from early childhood through postsecondary education. Her work spans everything from building and leveraging relationships with key stakeholders, hosting virtual roundtables and in-person large-scale events, to managing interagency collaboration and more. Her primary focus includes highlighting resources at the U.S. Department of Education and at other federal agencies that enhance the programs, practices, and policies at institutions that serve the Black community. 

Passionate about empowering others, she is an Executive Leadership Coach and President of Monumental Business Solutions, LLC., a Group Coach for the Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Leadership Development Program, an Executive Coach for the Treasury Executive Institute, was an Adjunct Math Instructor for the Adult Basic Education program at Prince George’s Community College, received the 2013 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drum Major for Service President’s Volunteer Service Award, Past President of the Rotary Club of Dupont Circle in Washington DC, an inaugural member and Professional Development Co-Chair of the YWCA - National Capital Area’s Young Women’s Leadership Council, and was recognized for Leadership in the 2017 Who’s Who Among Young Professionals by the National Urban League Young Professionals. 

Monique has been a member of Thursday Network: Greater Washington Urban League Young Professionals Auxiliary for over a decade, was one of three finalist for the Luminary Award at the Inaugural Spirit of Service Awards Ceremony in 2014,  a panelist for the December 2016 GBM on planning for success in 2017, July 2018 Member of the Month, bEastCon 2020 Planning Committee member, and has served on both the Community Service and Professional Development Committees. This servant leader joins LTD after being the Speaker Lead and a 2021 NULYP Whole Woman Summit planning committee member.  Monique recently received a doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership from the University of Southern California, is a 2021 Alumni of the Excellence in Government Fellows Program, holds a M.A. in Education and Human Development from George Washington University and a B.S. in Business Administration from the Kogod School of Business at American University in Washington, DC.

Founded in 1992, Thursday Network is comprised of over 200 young professionals committed to serving the Washington Metropolitan area through community programs and partnership that address the Empowerment Goals of the National Urban League. The mission of TN is to provide a forum for young adults, ages 21 – 40, to focus their energies on community service, professional development, and political involvement.
