The 25th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service Drive is Thursday Network’s annual event to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. During the month of January, we will serve communities within D.C., Prince George’s County, and Montgomery County. This year's event will allow us to increase service opportunities that focus on supporting communities in need.
"Everybody can be great because anybody can serve."

HOW TO BE A PART OF MLK DAY 2025
The 25th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service Blanket & Toiletry Drive is Thursday Network’s annual event to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Please join Thursday Network in collaboration with the Maya Angelou Learning Center to assemble and deliver care packages. Volunteers will assist in creating packages that will consist of blankets, deodorants, feminine hygiene products (e.g., tampons and pads), floss, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpastes, soaps, and words of encouragement. This year’s goal is to deliver 2,000 packages to people in need throughout the Greater Washington Area. In addition to care packages, we will host various community service project stations that are family-friendly and will serve more than 2,400 recipients.
