STEAM Into the Future: Design Challenge and Exhibition Fair

We our hosting our First Annual STEAM Into the Future: Design Challenge and Exhibition Fair on April 14, from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, at the DC Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement. During this event, groups of middle school and high school students will work to create a solution for a problem within their community using elements of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. Student groups will be paired with a community member that is working in a STEAM field to help them create a proposal and presentation of their idea. Each group's proposal and presentation will be judged on their knowledge of a community issue, creative problem solving, and potential of execution. As their work is being judged, students and their STEAM mentors will be able to interact with other students and STEAM professionals during an interactive exhibition fair!

We need you to support this event by becoming a STEAM Mentor, Exhibitor, or Event Volunteer! Learn more about each role by visiting bit.ly/ndos2018!
