The Greater Washington Urban League (gwul.org) is virtually hosting its 8th annual Back 2 School Health and Wellness Festival. Although going back to school will be different this year we still want to inspire children in the DC Metro Area community to look forward to learning and know that they are precious. Due to the massive loss of jobs and wages for many families as a result of COVID-19, the need for school supplies and healthy snacks is higher than ever before. We typically serve 500 students from vulnerable families at the event, but the needs are growing. Any donation of supplies or healthy on-the-go snacks would be appreciated. Donations are fully tax-deductible.

We need help from TN members in the following ways:

  • DONATE: Please select items from our Amazon list: https://a.co/a6eN1s7 to be delivered to the GWUL. We would like to have the supplies in hand at GWUL by Wednesday September 9th so we have enough time to pack and distribute the bags
