Mark your calendars for Young Blacks Give Back, part of Thursday Network’s signature initiatives!
This year Thursday Network members will spread volunteer service in the DMV to reinforce the importance of giving back. We are excited to announce that this year’s event will feature meaningful ways for members and the general public to sow into communities that need support the most!
As a friendly reminder due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Please do not Attend if:

You begin to experience any symptoms associated with COVID-19, which include fever, cough, and shortness of breath among others; within 14 days of the event.

You have traveled at any point in the past fourteen (14) days either internationally or to a state in the U.S. that DC has mandated a quarantine for.

You believe that you may have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities or the health care team responsible for your treatment.

Hook Hall Helps is back at it every Monday and Thursday we need your help, as we are looking for folks to volunteer to help with meal distribution! All volunteers must wear their masks and gloves at all times.
To volunteer, you may select from the shifts below:
Mondays - 3 volunteers per shift

Shift A - 11:30 AM -2:30 PM : Assemble supply kits and meal bags
Shift B – 2:30 PM-5:30 PM: Distribute meal bags and supply kits to recipients
Thursdays - 3 volunteers per shift
2011 Crystal Drive, Arlington VA 22202 (next to The Freshman)
Shift A - 11:30 AM -2:30 PM : Assemble supply kits and meal bags
Shift B – 2:30 PM-5:30 PM: Distribute meal bags and supply kits to recipients

Thursday Network will assist A Wider Circle in support of their Essential Support program. This program focuses on providing basic need items for the home of neighbors seeking to rise out of poverty. Donations include household furniture, linens, kitchen items, toys, and professional clothing and accessories. Volunteers will sort donations and prepare bundles of items for families and individuals to take home. All volunteers must sign a Waiver, click HERE to fill out the waiver. All volunteers are required to wear a mask or face covering at all times in the facility over their mouth and nose.
The facility does not have parking onsite for volunteers, please choose one of the following parking options.

Thursday Network will assist the Capital Area Food Bank in sorting and packing food in their distribution center.
All volunteers must sign a Waiver, click HERE to download the waiver. All volunteers are required to wear a mask or face covering at all times in the facility over their mouth and nose.
