In light of DC’s Emancipation Day celebration, Thursday Network will host a conversation to explore Greater Washington’s cultural impact on its Black residents and natives. The conversation will include discussions on the political and social history of the city, the #DontMuteDC movement, the facts about DC statehood, and a soft look at the culture expanding further into DC’s surrounding counties.

This GBM will take place in 2nd Floor Community Room of the Reeves Center.

Founded in 1992, Thursday Network is comprised of over 200 young professionals committed to serving the Washington Metropolitan area through community programs and partnership that address the Empowerment Goals of the National Urban League. The mission of TN is to provide a forum for young adults, ages 21 – 40, to focus their energies on community service, professional development, and political involvement.
