National Day of Service: Empowering Youth through STEAM (Volunteers Needed)

**ALL VOLUNTEER SLOTS HAVE BEEN FILLED**

We are seeking 10 TN volunteers to assist with  greetings, registration, food management and assisting with overall programing.

National Day of Service (NDOS) is the NULYP's community service initiative bringing together chapters nationwide for a momentous day of unified community impact around the theme of S.T.E.A.M. Education and Careers. This year's theme is "Reimagining Black Empowerment Through STEAM".

Student participants will:

  • Work with STEAM coaches on coding and e-gaming;
  • Participate in live demonstrations and learn about STEAM from young professionals from the area; and
  • Receive a FREE tablet, and chances to win prizes and opportunities to compete in a STEAM ESports league.

This event is in partnership with Greater Baltimore Leadership Association and STEAM E-Sports and sponsored by Comcast.

Founded in 1992, Thursday Network is comprised of over 200 young professionals committed to serving the Washington Metropolitan area through community programs and partnership that address the Empowerment Goals of the National Urban League. The mission of TN is to provide a forum for young adults, ages 21 – 40, to focus their energies on community service, professional development, and political involvement.
