The Empowerment Academy is Thursday Network’s signature mentoring program for youth in DC focused on personal development, college readiness, career exploration, healthy living and volunteerism. The Empowerment Academy will support students in the DMV by providing mentors to lead sessions focused on “Identity, Empowerment & Networking”, “Personal Development and Wellness", “Leadership and Advocacy” and “Community Engagement and Service”. 

The 2025 Empowerment Academy schedule includes: Meeting with students on Saturdays from 10am to 12pm for 4 weeks. Mentors can expect to coordinate activities related to one of the 4 lesson plans from Thursday Network’s Empowerment Academy curriculum.
