DC Central Kitchen Volunteer Opportunity (Must Register through Link in Description)

Join Thursday Network for a meaningful morning of service at DC Central Kitchen.

On Saturday, June 13, we will roll up our sleeves at the Klein Center to support food preparation efforts that help provide fresh, nutritious meals to DC residents experiencing food insecurity. Volunteers will assist with washing, chopping, packaging, and preparing meals in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

This is an opportunity to build community while directly addressing food access. No prior experience is necessary.

Required Registration (Action Needed):
All volunteers must complete a separate registration through DC Central Kitchen’s volunteer portal in order to participate. This step is required in addition to your RSVP.

Volunteer Requirements:

• Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required

• No tank tops, shorts, skirts, or dresses

• Hair must be pulled back and secured

DC Central Kitchen is located near the Waterfront Metro (Green Line), with additional paid parking options available nearby. A free shuttle runs between Waterfront Metro and the facility on weekends.
