MLK Day of Service Sub-Committee Meeting

Last January, 400+ volunteers packed 2,200+ toiletry kits and blankets for neighbors across DC—and this year, we're going bigger. Our 27th Annual MLK Day of Service returns Monday, January 18th, 2027 at Maya Angelou Learning Center, with a goal of 2,500 kits for local shelters and community partners. Ready to serve? Here's your chance. The subcommittee is where it all comes together—planning stations, outreach, donations, and day-of logistics. No experience needed, just a heart for service.

Our first sub-committee meeting is Tuesday, November 10th at 6:00 PM EST, and we'll meet on the Second Tuesday of each month from 7:00 - 8:00 PM leading up to the Day of Service. Reach out to Aaliyah Jones, Community Service Programs Chair, at csprograms@thursdaynetwork.org if you have any questions.

Note: The time is being adjusted from 7:00 pm to 6:00 pm for our first meeting to allow individuals the opportunity to attend our National Day of Empowerment event at 7:00 pm.
