Join Thursday Network as we honor the black history of the past, black excellence of today, and black liberation of the future during our 2021 JUNETEENTH Weekend Celebration. 

Black Liberation Community Day:  On Sunday, June 20th at 2pm, Join Thursday Network for an afternoon of service. We will be partnering with ANCs and community organizations to provide services and resources to neighborhoods East of the River. We’ll also have Father’s Day Spotlight where we will be raffling off prizes to Fathers in attendance.

Are you a Thursday Network Member who is interested in volunteering at this event? Sign up for a volunteer shift: 

Volunteer Descriptions:

-Set-Up ( 1pm-2pm): Help set up tables and equipment in space.

- Vendor Support (1:15pm-2pm): Help check-in vendors and provide any other support they may need to prepare their tables.

-Floaters (2pm-3pm):  Rotate to different vendors to see if they need anything and solve any problems they may have. Greet and encourage attendees to engage with vendors.

-Floaters (3pm-4pm): Rotate to different vendors to see if they need anything and solve any problems they may have. Greet and encourage attendees to engage with vendors.

-Clean-up (3:30pm-4:30pm): Help break down tables, collect any trash, and support any clean up help vendors may need.



COVID-19 Precautions 

In order to keep our attendees safe, all guests will be asked to wear face masks while in attendance at any in-person events. Additionally, please  refrain from attending these in-person events if: 

You begin to experience any symptoms associated with COVID-19, which include fever, cough, and shortness of breath among others; within 14 days of the event. 

-you are not fully vaccinated and have traveled at any point in the past fourteen (14) days either internationally or to a state in the U.S. that has DC has mandated a quarantine for. 

-you believe that you may have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities or the health care team responsible for your treatment

The mission of TN is to provide a forum for young adults, ages 21 – 40, to focus their energies on community service, professional development, and political involvement.
