National Day of Empowerment (NDOE) is an annual signature event for NULYP chapters. This year, the theme is Make Black Count: Building Equity for the Future with focus on educating communities on the census.

“Senior Citizen Appreciation” partnering with Victory Heights Senior housing to play games, craft projects, and speak briefly on the importance of senior citizen inclusion in the 2020 census.

The Census isn’t just about the numbers. It’s about empowerment. The decennial census is the most inclusive civic activity in our country, covering every person in every household. The data collected affect our nation’s ability to ensure equal representation and equal access to important governmental and private sector resources for all Americans across racial and ethnic lines.
