Join us as webring awareness to the CROWN Act, which stands for “Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair.” The CROWN Act is a law that prohibits race-based hair discrimination, which is the denial of employment and educational opportunities because of hair texture or protective hairstyles. In the conversation we will address our image from bantu knots, the beard gang and tattoos. We’ll hear from activists, beauty and hair professionals, human resource professionals and local legislators about the celebration of our culture and protecting our rights.
