For Us, By Us: Black History Month Book Drive

  • 02/28/2025
  • Book Drive Donation: Donate Now through Feb.28th

As February unfolds, Thursday Network is thrilled to launch our Annual For Us, By Us: Black History Month Book Drive—an initiative aimed at providing young people throughout greater Washington, Montgomery County, and Prince George’s area with new books, authored by and featuring people of color, that reflect the richness of our history, culture, creativity, and achievements. Books collected during this year’s drive will be donated to Friendship Armstrong Public Charter School, located in Washington, DC. Every book has the potential to deepen a student’s love of reading and writing.

Please help us reach our goal of donating at least 350 books this year. We believe in the power of representation, and with your support, we can make a lasting impact. Here's how you can contribute:

  1. Amazon Book Drive Link: Donate a book on our Amazon Wishlist Link

  2. Monetary Donation: Visit our website to make a monetary donation, and indicate 2025 For Us, By Us Book Drive.

  3. Spread the Word: Share our flyer and Amazon Book Drive link with the colleagues in your network.

Book donation goal: 350 donated books
